Alter Servers assist the Priest and Deacon in the celebration of the Mass. 

An altar society or altar guild is a group of laypersons in a parish church who maintain the ceremonial objects used in worship. The duties of members vary according to circumstances, in some instances including those which ordinarily fall within the sacristan's province, such as the vestments and altar vessels and making ready for the Mass. 

Unite as a community praying the Rosary for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. Pray the special Rosary of our Lady for Life, with the Knights of Columbus each Tuesday following the 5:30 P.M. Mass 

We are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We are part of an international society of friends united by a spirit of poverty, humility, and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection. Energized by the awareness that service to our brother or sister in need is in fact an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ, members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are keenly aware that poverty, suffering and loneliness are present for millions in our communities. 

The objective of the Guadalupanos Association is to promote in its members, a deeper understanding of our faith and of the Doctrine of the church. The membership strives to obtain greater awareness of liturgical life, and a fervent devotion to the Virgin, our Lady of Guadalupe. The celebration of the feast day of our Lady of Guadalupe in December is a major goal. Collaboration with the faith community of St. Joachim to augment this devotion to our Lady is another major goal. Meetings are held monthly. As a group we pray the Rosary monthly. Other traditional activities such as Posadas, the dance of the matachines, and the music of the mariachi are incorporated into Guadalupanos celebrations.

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. See "Our Councils" page.

The mission of the Religious Education Program of St. Joachim’s Parish is to assist parents in the religious, moral, and spiritual formation of their children. Parents are the primary educators of their children, teaching by word and example. Our parish catechists support the parents and students by providing quality religious education in a nurturing, faith-filled environment. Through the cooperative effort of parents, catechists, and students, our children will grow in their love for God and knowledge of their Catholic faith, develop their God-given gifts and talents, and live as contributing, respectable citizens through their commitment to service as Catholic Christians; along with other acts of kindness projects

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. Those who want to join a RCIA group should aim to attend the Adult Faith Formation courses at St. Joachim. It is a period of reflection, prayer, instruction, discernment, and formation of your Catholic Faith. There is no set timetable and those who join the process are encouraged to go at their own pace, taking as much time as they need. Although the average process generally takes between eight and twelve months, it can take up to two or more years for some individuals. Those who enter the process are expected to begin attending Mass on Sundays, attend a weekly RCIA session, and to become increasingly involved in the activities of St. Joachim parish, or any Roman Catholic parish.

The Young Ladies’ Institute was founded in San Francisco on September 5, 1887 by three friends inspired to help an ill friend. Institutes are located in California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii. YLI was founded on the Christian principles of charity and love. The emblem of our Order, “The cross within the laurel wreath” signifies our belief that only in this symbol of man’s redemption can we expect the crowning victory of immortality. “The golden links to the Christian virtues faith, hope and charity.” The principles of unity, sisterly love and protection are the diamonds that give brilliance to our Order for they embody our love and concern for each other.

We are a band of brothers, a network of men in communities around the world dedicated to doing good in the service of God and our neighbor. Membership is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practicing Catholics in union with the Holy See. Charity is the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. Knights are men who get things done. We volunteer our time to serve our parish and our community.
